Key skills and responsibilities include:
Test Planning & Strategy:

Develop detailed test plans and testing strategies aligned with project objectives and Salesforce best practices.

Define the scope, objectives, resources, timelines, and risk mitigation approaches.

Requirements Analysis:

Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Salesforce Architects, Developers, and Stakeholders to thoroughly understand business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Test Design & Execution:

Create comprehensive manual and automated test cases covering functional flows, integrations (e.g., with external systems such as ERP, marketing platforms), user interfaces, data validation, security, and workflows.

Automated Testing:

Leverage Salesforce testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Provar, Copado, or Salesforce’s own Salesforce DX and Apex test classes to automate regression and smoke testing, thereby accelerating release cycles and improving test coverage.

Performance Testing:

Assist in performance and load testing efforts to ensure Salesforce applications scale effectively under expected usage conditions.

Defect Management:

Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

Coordinate and support UAT activities, guide end-users through testing scenarios, gather feedback, and facilitate defect triage.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed testing documentation, including test cases, test execution results, defect logs, and quality metrics dashboards. Communicate testing progress and risks to project stakeholders.

Technical proficiencies:

Salesforce platforms: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud
Testing tools: Selenium, Provar, SoapUI, Postman, JMeter
Defect tracking and test management: Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps
Automation frameworks and scripting languages: Apex test classes, Java, Python, JavaScript
Continuous integration tools: Jenkins, Git, Copado, Gearset
