Unplug Studio Heads to Barcelona with European Union’s Support to Showcase Salvadoran Digital Innovation

San Salvador, February 20th, 2026 – Unplug Studio is honored to participate in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) and 4YFN in Barcelona from March 2–5, 2026, as part of the Salvadoran delegation supported by the European Union’s Global Gateway initiative.
The mission is led by the Proyecto Ilamatepec and executed by the International Trade Centre (ITC), with the goal of opening new commercial doors for Salvadoran tech and digital companies throughout Europe.
Thanks to the EU’s strategic backing, 11 Salvadoran firms were selected based on their export readiness and track record in innovation. Unplug Studio joins this group alongside peers such as Vertex Studio, Erde Automation, and Applaudo, bringing our expertise in accessible web experiences, AI-driven digital solutions, and full-stack product development to the global stage.
“At Unplug Studio, we see every project as an opportunity to tell the story of Salvadoran talent,” said Mauricio Paz, Managing Partner. “Being part of MWC and 4YFN through Global Gateway allows us to connect with potential partners, investors, and clients across Europe and demonstrate how user-centered digital transformation can elevate destinations, businesses, and communities.”
The Salvadoran delegation’s presence in Barcelona is far from symbolic—each company will hold meetings with prospective clients, investors, and strategic allies in one of the world’s most important technology forums. This trip reinforces El Salvador’s commitment to sustainable connectivity, inclusive digital transformation, and long-term commercial relationships under the Central America Association Agreement.
